Choosing the right Iron
It is not easy to choose the right iron. With so many brands out there these days, it can be hard to know exactly where to look. Here are some things you need to keep in mind:
The first thing you need to think about is your level of playing experience. If you have just started then you will want to get a “Cavity Back” club. These have larger sweet spots so it won’t matter so much if you don’t get the swing just right.
If, however, you have been playing for a while then it is better to get a “Muscleback” or “Blade Iron”. If you hit these just right they will be formidable on the course but they are not for beginners and do need some practice to get it just right.
If you have some some kind of a problem golfing, such as a painful elbow, it may be better to get a graphite shaft which will be lighter and easier to swing.
Different clubs are also designed to compensate different problems and for different users. Some help the ball’s trajectory and others can give you more power in your swing. It is important to take this into account when choosing the right club.
